Share your Story is where guests of Survive Be Alive share their own inspirational and powerful stories. A point of view of how they went through something life-changing and horrific, how they dealt with the situation and what they did next. This section is all about spreading the message of Hope. Survive Be Alive is something very personal to me, but it’s not all about surviving cancer. There are times in everyone’s lives where they go through trauma, pain and upset. It’s about what they do to deal with this and how they strive to live the life they aspire to live.
It was November 2009. I had been studying for my MastersDegree in Health and Safety with Loughborough University, supported by my employer at the time. I was working as the Lead Health and Safety Advisor at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. I had decided to take some time out after my work and study
